Care for Life Suicide Prevention Network

With approximately 700 Queenslanders taking their lives each year, suicide is a major issue for our society and the leading cause of death among people 15 – 44 years old in Australia. At this moment in time we need to be very aware of the individual’s response to the stresses we are facing.

Care for Life Suicide Prevention Network created an online conference as an alternative to our usual conference on  the 8th of September 2020 to help us to spread awareness. Topics covered included:
. Men & Family issues that may cause stress
. The Impact on Children & Young People
. The effect on the Indigenous community
. And much more

We are a group of community workers and individuals, dedicated to the prevention of suicide through increasing awareness of the issue and building a strong culture of support.

Care for Life meet bi-monthly on the second Monday of the month (excluding public holidays) from 4.00- 6.00pm at the Lifeline/UCC Building, 2741 Gold Coast Highway, Broadbeach - entrance via the rear entrance off Jubilee Avenue.

Due to the need for Social Isolation meetings will be held online via Zoom  24th August at  2.30 - 4pm. For an invitation to the meeting please send an email to contact@careforlife.com.au

We invite you to explore our site and hope you find it useful
